The STARK 10W 40 CH4-SJ is a Diesel engine oil used for lubricating a vehicle engine and reducing friction in moving parts. The 10W 40 is the viscosity rating of the STARK 10W 40 CH4-SJ Diesel engine oil . The rating in this case tells us that the oil has a good viscosity at low temperatures and it thickens with increasing temperatures. Providing good lubrication at both high and low temps. The CH-4 is a specification formulated by the American Petroleum Institute (API) meant for diesel engine oils . Oils rated as CH-4 exhibit better oxidation protection, wear protection, soot control and deposit prevention.  SJ is also an API classification and SJ oils exhibit better performance than oils of older specifications.

Viscosity is an important factor of any engine oil, including the STARK 10W 40 CH4-SJ Diesel engine oil as it determines how well the oil flows. An engine oil that doesn’t flow well may not be able to reach certain areas of the engine at cold temperatures and may not provide adequate lubrication at low temperatures. Meanwhile an oil that is too runny may not provide a thick enough film at high temperatures and cause friction in the engine’s moving parts.

The STARK 10W 40 CH4-SJ diesel engine oil is typically applicable in fixed diesel engines, such as those in Mercedes-Benz 190D (W201) and Volkswagen Golf (Mk1 & Mk2) TDI etc.  It is also applicable in Public work materials, such as garbage trucks and public buses,  as well as mixed fleets of trucks and cars. The oil can also be used as a hydraulic oil (for example, caterpillar).

There is no universal number as to how often you should change your  STARK 10W 40 CH4-SJ Diesel engine oil . It depends solely upon your vehicle type and the load you put on it. Consult your vehicle manual for guidance.

Yes indeed, you can use the  STARK 10W 40 CH4-SJ  Diesel engine oil in older engines

Mixing any oil with the STARK 10W 40 CH4-SJ  Diesel engine oil , while possible, is never recommended as it may damage your engine. Even in cases where you have to mix the oils, make sure to follow proper instructions.
