UAE Petrol, Diesel Prices For August 2025 Announced

On July 31, the UAE announced the official fuel prices for August 2025.

A decade ago, on August 1, 2015, the country shifted to a deregulated system, linking local fuel prices to global market rates. Since then, the Fuel Price Committee has reviewed and updated prices every month, ensuring they reflect international oil trends and distribution costs.

The new rates, effective August 1, 2025, are as follows:

  • Super 98 petrol: AED 2.69 per litre (down from AED 2.70 in July)
  • Special 95 petrol: AED 2.57 per litre (down from AED 2.58 in July)
  • E-Plus 91 petrol: AED 2.50 per litre (down from AED 2.51 in July)
  • Diesel: AED 2.78 per litre (up from AED 2.63 in July)

Since fuel prices directly impact inflation, maintaining stable petrol rates helps control transportation expenses and the overall cost of goods. The UAE remains among the worldโ€™s top 25 countries with the lowest petrol prices, averaging AED 2.58 per litre.
