Group 2 Base Oil Suppliers in UAE

Group II base oil is produced through a particular process with the use of hydrogen to purify the oil. This process displaces the former process and results in the oil being clear, colorless, and without such components as sulfur and nitrogen.

Our group 2 base oils are high-quality, for they do not oxidize, do not evaporate, and contain very little sulfur. This makes them ideal for the production of high-quality stock engine oils and other industrial oils.

What Are the Types of Group II Base Oil?

There are two main types of Group II base oils:

Group II Base Oil

  1. This is the one commonly referred to as the Group II oil. It contains a very low amount of sulfur, and the rest of the content, which is useful, is present in abundance to enable it to work properly.
  2. It remains active in various temperatures, and for this, it has a special parameter known as the viscosity index, VI, between 80 & 120.
  3. It is superior to the Group I oils in oxidation stability, volatility, and anti-wear characteristics.

Group II “Plus” Base Oil

  1. This type normally has a VI of 115 and above.
  2. People may not name it as a different type, but for some applications, it is even superior because it does not wear out quickly and performs well under challenging circumstances.
  3. It is mainly used in synthetic high-performance and fully synthetic motor oils.

Group II Base Oils – Uses

  1. Better Protection: Group II oils do not thicken even when it is very hot. This assists your oil to have a longer life, produces less sludge, and protects your engine from nasty stuff.
  2. Less Evaporation: Compared to the Group I oils, these do not evaporate as quickly; thus, you do not need to top up the oils as frequently. This is also cheaper and environmentally friendly by all means.
  3. Strong Lubrication: They prevent the engine parts from getting eroded due to rubbing against one another. This makes your engine run for a longer time without having a problem.
  4. Cold Weather: Comparatively, the Group II oils possess better low-temperature properties, so your engine does not have trouble starting and will indeed not have trouble running in the winter.
