UAE Petrol And Diesel Prices for August 2026 Announced

The United Arab Emirates has announced the fuel prices for August 2026. After prices fell in July following four months of rises fuel rates have increased again for August.

The new fuel prices, effective, from August 1 2026 are:

  • Super 98 Petrol: AED 3.60 per litre (up from AED 3.40 in July)
  • Special 95 Petrol: AED 3.49 per litre (up from AED 3.29)
  • E-Plus 91 Petrol: AED 3.41 per litre (up from AED 3.21)
  • Diesel: AED 3.80 per litre (up from AED 3.60)

Fuel prices had fallen in July after several months of increases linked to tensions in the Middle East, including the conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran and concerns over the Strait of Hormuz.

Since the Middle East conflict began on February 28, UAE fuel prices have risen by more than 60% overall before the temporary drop in July.

Changes in petrol and diesel prices affect many households across the UAE. Since fuel is a regular expense, higher prices can increase transportation costs and put extra pressure on monthly budgets.

Oil prices remain sensitive to global events. On July 29, tensions between the US and Iran increased again after reports of an Iranian missile attack on a US military base in Jordan on July 28. The situation raised concerns about global oil supplies, contributing to higher oil prices.
